Martin and Paltrow name Pegg as godfather

Hollywood couple Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow have chosen actor Simon Pegg to be godfather to their 3-year-old daughter Apple.

But the Hot Fuzz star has no intention of providing moral guidance to the celebrity offspring–and insists he wants his young charge to have fun.

He says, “I’d like to think I’m a really great, fun godfather.

“It’s much more interesting than trying to be a good influence on her. I’m a comedian–it’s what they expect.”

Gwyneth Paltrow is back.

She’s splashed on the cover of September’s W magazine, out nationwide Aug. 17, as she prepares for the October release of brother Jake’s romantic comedy The Good Night, in which she plays the girlfriend of a washed-up pop star. The actress, 34, also has been busy filming the action thriller Iron Man with Robert Downey Jr.

The projects follow a break from major roles to spend time with husband and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 30, and their children, daughter Apple, 3, and son Moses, 1.

Does she see more kids in her future? “I have a dream version where I think, maybe in four years I’ll have two in a row really quickly again — how fabulous to have a whole bunch of them! But then at that point, when everyone’s potty-trained and sleeping through the night, are you really going to go back? … My husband really wants to adopt. So I don’t know; I’m sort of open for anything.” (USA TODAY)

She might be heart broken over her divorce with estranged husband Ryan Phillippe, yet not anymore as she found someone better who happens to be Jake Gyllenhaal. Now comes new report that Reese Witherspoon is in talks to be the new face of beauty giant Estee Lauder. It looks like her life is getting better.

The discussion is still in the very early stages, it has been reported. If only the deal would be reached, Reese will surely join numbers of Hollywood beauties, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Liya Kebede, Carolyn Murphy, Elizabeth Hurley, and Hilary Rhoda, all of whom has front the brand.

As of her acting career, the movie beauty is having two films to be released later this year, they are “Penelope” and “Rendition.”
