The world’s highest paid supermodel Gisele Bundchen is famous for being sizzling hot and now not even a splash of cold water can cool her temperature.

The 26-year-old Brazilian has unveiled a revealing new ad campaign that shows her in a see-through liquid dress.

While all eyes are on her knock-out body, the former Victoria’s Secret model actually stripped down to promote her own line of eco-friendly sandals called Ipanema Gisele Bundchen.

The shoe line, which she had a hand in designing, are the latest venture in her wildly successful career.

According to Forbes, she made $33 million in 2006, adding to her estimated $150 million fortune. She is currently listed in the Guinness World Records as the “world’s richest supermodel”

Miss Schiffer believes the Brazilian Gisele Bundchen is one of the few women to have supermodel status today.

“Her face is well known, her name is recognised - but no other girl occurs to me that people in the street would recognise,” she said.

Claudia, who lives in the UK, has previously hit out at the trend towards super-thin models.

She told the magazine she was glad that their day in the spotlight seems to be receding towards a trend of “glamour and opulence.”

She added. “I think and hope that there is a change in the scene, where glamour returns after heroin-chic and discusions about Anorexia.

“Current photo stories in magazines suggest it is going in this direction. Certainly the things I have done recently have been unusually glamorous and beautiful.

“Perhaps this new development can cause a revival of the supermodel as we embodied the image of beauty in the 90’s.”

She is happy to be working again with Karl Lagerfeld, the genius of Chanel, on a new ad campaign for champagne.

Gisele Bundchen rakes in $33 million a year, the new Forbes list of the top 15 richest supermodels says.

That makes the Brazilian-born West Villager better paid than New York’s most famous slugger, Alex Rodriguez (at least for now), who is signed to a 10-year, $250 million contract.

All 15 of the Forbes foxes rake in $1.5 million or more a year - which means each earns more than the average Mets player.

Kate Moss, 33, who comes in second to Bundchen, pulls in $9 million from her various contracts. Victoria’s Secret models Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio come next, earning between $6 million and $8 million annually.

Though supermodels earn more than ever, they don’t have the name recognition of the greats a decade ago, like Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Elle Macpherson. And, most, with the exception of Hilary Rhoda, 20, and Carolyn Murphy, 31, are from outside the U.S.

Models make money by scoring big ad campaigns and contracts. While runway shows may gain them recognition, they don’t pay as well ($250 an hour) and only happen a few times a year.

Bundchen is so successful because she stars in nearly 20 campaigns a year and licenses her name out to a Brazilian shoe company. She also is the lead model for cash cow Victoria’s Secret, which pays her $5 million a year to walk in their shows and pose in their catalogues.

Russian-born Natalia Vodianova, who made her name with Calvin Klein, earns $4.5 million. Czech Victoria’s Secret model Karolina Kurkova and Canadian Daria Werbowy - the bug-eyed face of Lancome - each make about $3.5 million. They are followed by the list’s youngest model, 19-year-old Gemma Ward, who pulls in $3 million.

A supermodel, already acclaimed as the most famous and the highest-paid one in the world, Gisele Bundchen is trying her hand at acting. Not in big screen movie as she did in “Taxi” (2004), the beauty is about to star in the upcoming music video for U2’s next song.

Gisele, who’s claimed to be picky about the jobs she does, reportedly agreed to do the job after becoming friend with the music group’s frontman, Bono, upon meeting him when she helped promote his charity RED campaign by appearing in the adverts for free.

While there has any official confirmation just yet, Gisele has just signed on to star in the film version on Dan Brown’s bestselling “Angels & Demons”, the prequel to the 2006 international smash “The Da Vinci Code” set for December 19, 2008 release date.

Gisele Bundchen has entered Brazil’s growing debate over anorexia, saying families are to blame - not the fashion industry.

The 26-year-old model was in Brazil for the annual Fashion Rio, a weeklong showcase for some of the country’s top designers.

Anorexia became a hot issue in Brazil after the deaths of four young women last month, including 21-year-old model Ana Carolina Reston.

Splashed across the front pages of newspapers nationwide, the subject has held morbid fascination for Brazilians, and was even the theme of a popular TV soap opera. It also sparked a debate within Brazil’s fashion industry.

Other countries, too, have begun to address what they see as the dangerous link between high fashion glamour and an unhealthy image of women. In September, Madrid’s Fashion week banned underweight models. Italy’s designers followed suit in December, requiring models to submit proof that they do no suffer from an eating disorder.
