Oliveira has two brothers: Givago (economist) and Pablo (lawyer) and she is currently living with her mother in New York. Shortly after winning 2nd place at the Elite Model Look International Final in 1999, Raica was christened “The sensation” at the fall fashion shows in Paris and Milan. She was one of the most talked about models of the season alongside fellow Elite stars Adriana Lima, Maggie Rizer, Oluchi and Karen Elson. She was featured in a Christian Dior campaign that appeared in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Mademoiselle, and other fashion magazines. Oliveira has joined the ranks of supermodels charging over US$ 20-thousand euros (16.6-thousand) to step out for TNG. In February 2007 she appeared in Sports Illustrated. She is good friends with fellow Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima and Brazilian top model Ana Beatriz Barros. She has dated Brazilian football player, Ronaldo. In March 2007 Oliveira joined IMG Paris and she also appeared in Ann Taylor advertisements. She is the new face of Avon. Oliveira plans to study philosophy at a university when she retires.
